Corporate structure

Claret does not hold securities. We use large Canadian financial institutions as our independent third party custodians. With this structure, every client is covered by the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF). At Claret Asset Management, our main responsibility and expertise relate to the portfolio management process. This structure enables us to separate the custodian’s role (bank) from our role as Portfolio Managers.

Claret conforms with the CFA Code Of Ethics & Standards Of Professional Conduct, which represents the highest ethical standard in the financial industry. All of our Portfolio Managers are CFA charterholders.

Our firm is registered with the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF). In addition, Claret is registered with the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Through the National Registration Database and National Instrument 31-103, Claret can manage investment portfolios for clients across Canada.
